The goal of the Behavior Analysis Professional Practice, M.A. online degree program is to produce competent science-informed practitioners who are solidly grounded in basic principles derived from the experimental analysis of behavior, who approach problems in a conceptually systematic way tied to those basic principles, who will attain BCBA® certification, who adhere to best data-based and evidenced-based ABA practices and who will continue to inform their practice with current research findings. This graduate degree includes 33 semester credit hours of coursework and meets the instructional and degree requirements to sit for the BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst®) credential examination. Florida Tech faculty and ABA online instructors help students integrate academic curricula to applied situations. This program does not include supervised fieldwork experience.

Admission Requirements

All applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. Only applicants with an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher will be considered for admission to the program.

Applicants must submit a graduate application with the accompanying fee, résumé/CV and official transcripts of all previous coursework.

Degree Requirements

The Master of Arts in Behavior Analysis Professional Practice degree will be conferred upon students who complete a minimum of 33 semester credits, with a cumulative GPA of 3.0, and pass a final program examination (FPE). All courses must be passed with a grade of B or better. The FPE consists of a multiple-choice examination that covers material from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board® (BACB®) task list. The FPE simulates the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification examination at the behavior analyst level. The FPE is administered toward the end of the student’s last (typically sixth) semester.

The final program examination consists of a multiple-choice examination simulating the Board Certified Behavior Analyst certification examination at the behavior analyst (BCBA) level and covers material from the verified course sequence (VCS). The final program examination is administered toward the end of the student’s last (typically sixth) semester.
