Admission Requirements
Applicants must have earned a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution (or the international equivalent) with at least three semester credit hours of statistics and at least three semester credit hours of discrete mathematics. ln addition, applicants should have completed at least nine semester credit hours of computer programming coursework including three semester credit hours of data structures. The program chair may grant provisional admission to students with the stipulation that deficiencies are satisfied by the successful completion of coursework that provides background knowledge commensurate with the admission requirements.

Curriculum
The graduate certificate in information assurance and cybersecurity requires the completion of four graduate-level courses in information assurance and cybersecurity (three required and one restricted elective). To earn the certificate, all courses applied to the certificate must be completed with a minimum grade of C. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required. Students who complete these requirements will be able to transition easily to the master’s degree program.

- CYB courses numbered 5200 or higher, not including CYB 5899 , CYB 5998 , or CYB 5999 . Other cybersecurity-related graduate-level courses may be allowed with prior approval from the Program Chair.
