Mission Statement and Overview
The mission of the College of Psychology and Liberal Arts is to educate, engage, empower and prepare tomorrow’s global leaders through student-centered instruction and innovative scholarship. Students will become proficient in their chosen major degree field through rigorous coursework, advanced research and scholarship, and practical experiences. Students will realize their full potential through education in the liberal arts and social sciences while building communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
The College of Psychology and Liberal Arts includes the School of Arts and Communication, School of Behavior Analysis and School of Psychology, and the military science program (ROTC). The college offers bachelor’s degrees in applied behavior analysis, forensic psychology, humanities, humanities-prelaw, multiplatform journalism, psychology and strategic communication, and master’s degrees in applied behavior analysis, global strategic communication, industrial/organizational psychology, and organizational behavior management. Doctoral degrees are awarded in behavior analysis, clinical psychology and industrial/organizational psychology. In addition to these programs offered on campus, the college offers online programs, including associate and bachelor’s degree in applied psychology, master’s degrees in organizational leadership and behavior analysis practice, and graduate certificates in applied behavior analysis.
Courses in foreign languages and linguistics are offered through the School of Arts and Communication, as is an intensive English as a Second Language Bridge Program for campus students whose first language is not English.

Graduate Admission
For psychology program applicants, the School of Psychology endorses the following resolution of the Council of Graduate Departments of Psychology regarding the offering and accepting of financial aid after April 15:
An acceptance given or left in force after April 15 commits the student not to solicit or accept another offer. Offers made after April 15 must include the provision that the offer is void if acceptance of a previous offer from a department accepting this resolution is in force on that date. These rules are binding on all persons acting on the behalf of the offering institution.
