PSY 4701 Experiential Child Advocacy Studies Training Seminar 1Credit Hours: 1 Engages CAST students in experiential problem-based learning using interactive role play simulations of child maltreatment scenarios. Introduces students to concepts of childhood traumatic stress and trauma-informed reasoning before participating in a simulation of the mandated reporting process after an accidental disclosure of abuse. Social/Behavior Sciences Undergraduate students must be enrolled in the Child Advocacy Studies Certificate program. Prerequisite: PSY 3531 Child Psychology Corequisite: PSY 3551 Introduction to Child Advocacy
