AEE 4281 Aerospace Structural Design

Credit Hours: 3
Covers topics related to the structural design of aircraft and spacecraft including bending, shear and torsion of open and closed sections, structural instability of thin plates, , fatigue, and stress and failure analysis of components. Introduces finite element methods, airworthiness, and loads analysis for spacecraft. Stresses design issues in all topics. 
Prerequisite: AEE 3083  and (MTH 2201  or MTH 3200 )
