The Master of Business Administration-Accounting and Finance degree program may be completed in two years or less and provides the high-level knowledge and range of skills to meet the challenges of today’s complex global business. Rooted in the case method approach, this intensive MBA program offers a uniquely collaborative, hands-on education. The program covers a variety of subjects including investment management, cost management and accounting policy.
Students actively engage in case study analysis and exercise leadership and teamwork skills. Strategic cost management and financial management policy are covered as well as the core business fundamentals. The program combines academic principles with practical, real-world applications to result in a solid business foundation.
The applicant to the master of business administration program must have a bachelor’s degree; however, the degree need not be in business administration. Applicants who are graduates of non-business programs are also encouraged to apply. An applicant is assigned an advisor soon after acceptance into the M.B.A. program and should meet with the advisor to prepare a program plan outlining the courses needed for the M.B.A. degree.
The admissions decision is based on a review of the application documentation including work experience, academic performance, references and written statement of purpose.
A GMAT or GRE is not required but will be accepted as an additional source to review. Work, as well as academic references and a quality statement of purpose, are critical to an effective evaluation.
