ECE 1552 Computer DesignCredit Hours: 4 Builds on the foundations of digital logic to study the organization and design of computer systems and embedded platforms. Topics include processor data paths and control, instruction set architecture, input/output (I/O) organization, timers and interrupts, and overall computer structure. Students gain practical experience through laboratory investigation, assembly-level programming and debugging on a working processor platform and basic hardware interfacing, developing a concrete understanding of how digital components integrate into complete computing systems. Prerequisite: ECE 1551
