Mission Statement and Overview
The College of Psychology and Liberal Arts (CoPLA) is committed to developing students into future leaders equipped to drive meaningful progress through a comprehensive understanding of the human experience. As the cornerstone of Florida Tech’s undergraduate education, our courses challenge students across all majors to think critically about the world, their roles within it and the complexities of human behavior and society. Through hands-on research/scholarship and application opportunities with a diverse and accomplished faculty, students explore a wide range of fields. This dynamic, collaborative environment fosters innovation, enhances expertise and prepares graduates to make an immediate and lasting impact in their chosen careers.
The College of Psychology and Liberal Arts includes the School of Arts and Communication, the School of Behavior Analysis and the School of Psychology, and the military science program (ROTC). The college offers bachelor’s degrees in animal behavior and cognition, applied behavior analysis, forensic psychology, humanities, humanities-prelaw, multiplatform journalism, psychology, and strategic communication and master’s degrees in applied behavior analysis, global strategic communication, industrial/organizational psychology and organizational behavior management. Doctoral degrees are awarded in behavior analysis, clinical psychology and industrial/organizational psychology. In addition to these programs offered on campus, the college offers online programs, including associate and bachelor’s degree in applied psychology, master’s degrees in organizational leadership and behavior analysis practice, and graduate certificates in applied behavior analysis.

Graduate Admission
For psychology program applicants, the School of Psychology endorses the following resolution of the Council of Graduate Departments of Psychology regarding the offering and accepting of financial aid after April 15:
An acceptance given or left in force after April 15 commits the student not to solicit or accept another offer. Offers made after April 15 must include the provision that the offer is void if acceptance of a previous offer from a department accepting this resolution is in force on that date. These rules are binding on all persons acting on the behalf of the offering institution.
