Experiential Requirements

Graduates of this program will have the coursework necessary to fulfill the requirements of the Behavior Analysis Certification Board® for the Associate Certificate in Behavior Analysis® (BCaBA). In addition to the coursework, the BCaBA certification requires 1,000 hours of combined fieldwork and supervised practicum experience to be earned before the BCaBA examination. Students have the option of completing the supervision requirements with Florida Tech or at another institution (during the summers, or subsequent to earning the B.A. degree). Students fulfilling supervision requirements with Florida Tech will need to ensure that 12 of the credits directed toward the Restricted Elective (Behavior Analysis) degree requirements include PSY 3550 one time, and PSY 4550 three times. Because of potential limitations on placements for supervision, these students should be prepared to register for PSY 3550 and/or PSY 4550 during summer semesters.
