The Bachelor of Science in Accounting is a traditional four-year accounting program providing a solid business framework. This program includes the business practicum (focused on accounting) as well as access to the corporate mentor program. The B.S. Accounting program meets bachelor’s-level educational requirements to be able to sit for the CPA exam in Florida. However, 30 semester hours of additional upper-level coursework beyond the bachelor’s programs are required to obtain the CPA license in Florida, once the candidate has successfully passed the exam. Courses in the MBA Accounting and MBA Accounting and Finance count toward the additional 30 semester hours of upper-level coursework required. Courses in the MS Accounting and Financial Forensics provide the full 30 semester hours of upper-level coursework required.
