This program meets the professional needs of technical graduates who are or are looking forward to, assuming more managerial responsibility in some aspect of space systems and need to enhance both managerial and technical skills.
The goal of the Master of Science in Space Systems Management is to prepare individuals for advanced leadership positions in the private, public and military sectors with specific skills and competencies in space systems management.
Admission Requirements
Admission to the Master of Science in Space Systems Management program requires a bachelor’s degree in a recognized field of engineering or physical science from an accredited curriculum. Coursework must have included mathematics through differential equations and at least one year of calculus-based physics. Proficiency at the undergraduate level in financial accounting and statistics is also required.
Individuals who do not meet the stated requirements for regular admission may petition to take graduate courses for credit as a continuing education applicant.
Degree Requirements
The degree of Master of Science in Space Systems Management is conferred upon students who have successfully completed 36 credit hours of graduate work plus other course requirements as listed on the student’s approved graduate program plan. Students without an adequate undergraduate background will be required to complete all or part of the program prerequisites listed below.
