MTH 5301 Numerical Analysis

Includes interpolation and approximation with polynomials and Fourier series, single and multi-step methods for ODEs and stability analysis, finite difference and finite element methods for hyperbolic conservation laws and boundary value problems, eigenvalue problems.
Recommended: Background knowledge equivalent to CSE 1502 Introduction to Software Development With C++ or CSE 1503 Introduction to Software Development With FORTRAN, or CSE 2050 Programming in a Second Language and MTH 2201 Differential Equations/Linear Algebra.
