The Master of Business Administration–Project Management in Information Technology is a professional program emphasizing breadth of preparation in various disciplines required for business, and a depth of knowledge in managing projects in the informaiton technology (IT) domain. The degree may be completed in two years or less and provides the high-level knowledge and range of skills required to meet the challenges of today’s enterprise security needs. Students gain valuable knowledge in IT operations management, emerging technologies, risk management, software lifecycles, agile development and managing all aspects of an IT project or program. Rooted in the case method approach, this intensive MBA program offers a uniquely collaborative, hands-on education.

Students actively engage in case study analysis and exercise leadership and teamwork skills. In addition to the core business fundamentals, the program provides specialized skills in strategic information technology and management. The program combines academic principles and practical, real-world applications to result in a solid business foundation.

Curriculum


Program Prerequisites


The following foundation courses are considered prerequisites to this program and will be waived for any student with an undergraduate degree in business or who has taken undergraduate courses in accounting, economics and finance with a minimum grade of B.

Core Courses


The M.B.A. degree requires completion of a common set of six core courses including the capstone course in strategic management. These required courses are designed to prepare the student to respond to the complex business decisions that arise in today’s rapidly changing environment. As such, these courses incorporate either case studies or projects that require extensive qualitative and/or quantitative analysis.
